Over 30 Years of Experience

Ray and Kellee Uber, high school sweethearts married for over 25 years, have been business partners at KAB Electric for more than a decade. Lifelong Carl Junction residents, they’ve built strong roots in the Joplin area through years of community and professional involvement. Ray, a Master Electrician with Over 30 Years of Experience, founded KAB Electric in 2003 with little more than his garage, a truck, and a passion for helping others. Kellee, a Missouri Southern graduate with a background in banking and business, ensures smooth operations and strong client relationships. Together they’ve grown KAB Electric into a respected name, now headquartered in a restored historic building at 404 E Water St. Active in local chambers, trade associations, and their church, the Ubers value family, community, and staying current with the latest electrical technologies—all while delivering quality, efficiency, and customer-focused service.

Disaster Electrical Services

We are on the job when disaster happens. Often times people will call the electric company and wait on them to arrive, only to find out that they can not work on all or part of the problem.

Disaster Services Include:

Lightning strikes, wind storms, and ice storms can shut down your service and destroy your electronic appliances and devices. We offer consultation for proper grounding, electrical surge protection, tree trimming, and back up generator systems ahead of the storm to keep your home and business operational during these storms.

In addition, animals and rodents can cause disaster to strike. These critters can enter attics, crawl spaces, and walls and chew on your electrical wires, causing shorts and electrical fires. Call us if you know you have been affected by squirrels, mice, etc to prevent these problems.

Sadly, there has been a rise in theft and vandalism of copper wiring. We are experts at repairing such electrical issues as safely and inexpensively as possible.

We install (and sell) Generators

In advance of such disasters, we also install (and sell) generators for residential, commercial and industrial use. Generators are no longer a luxury in our world. They are becoming more of a standard, like a hot water tank or central heat. The midwest experiences power outages more frequently every year with an increasing amount of wind and ice storms. The laws of supply and demand have helped to make the price of generators affordable.

Generator & Backup Power Systems

We install, repair and maintain generators and backup power systems for homes and businesses. Our team ensures you’re prepared when power goes out.

Solar & Renewable Energy Systems

We design and install solar power systems and other renewable energy solutions for residential and commercial clients. Our team helps you reduce energy costs and environmental impact.

Swimming Pool Electrical Services

We install and service pool wiring, lighting, pumps, and other pool-related electrical components for safe and efficient operation. Our team ensures all work meets code and keeps your pool area powered properly.

Parking Lot & Exterior Lighting

We install and maintain parking-lot lighting, exterior building lighting and site lighting for businesses and complexes. Our services improve safety, visibility and curb appeal.

New Electrical Installations

We handle wiring, panels, lighting, outlets, and system integration for new construction and remodels. Our team makes sure your project starts off with a solid electrical foundation.

Electrical Repairs & Maintenance

We diagnose faults, replace components, perform panel upgrades and provide regular maintenance to keep systems running safely. Our service team responds quickly, ensuring minimal disruption and long-term reliability.

KAB electric has completed several jobs for us at our home and office from small outlet replacement to exterior lighting installs. Kelly is great at customer service and Aaron is professional on site. I will recommend them anytime!

KAB did some significant upgrades to our lighting and electrical systems in our house that was built in the 80s. What I appreciated is that they were not only responsive, but affordable and professional. They were recommended to me by a reputable local contractor who uses them a lot.

I would like to thank Ray and Kelli for sending Aaron and Chris to our home because they did very high quality work and were very nice to answer questions I might have had. They cleaned up waste from the work they did and even did a few small extra things while they were here for me. I would highly recommend this company!

We have used KAB Electric on several jobs around our office. The largest was having them install two 17Kw Generac Generators for our building. Ray, Aaron and the guys did a fantastic job and we are very happy with their work. They also provided additional electrical services when we moved our office around and required a lot of additional circuit work and outlet poles to be installed throughout our open floorplan. Again they did a great job and provided good pricing. I would highly recommend them. I am now planning on having them install another generator at my home.

I needed a new outlet for my new stove and they were great about fitting me in to get me taken care of. The guys that came out knew what they were doing and had us taken care of super quick.

Ray. Is a awesome man. Fixed my issues very quickly in my point of view u can't find a better person or electrician. Don't call anyone else. KAB ELECTRIC. CARL JUNCTIONS
